So today we started on our version of the 20% time usage...thing...schedule used by Google. In band, just like how they do at Google, we will spend 20% of our time investigating something other than our primary focus, which in our case is our band instrument.
As part of this project, I have decided to analyze how music can impact one's intellect. Of course, the main way to quantify that is through test-taking. I will start by reading existing studies on how music can positively or negatively impact one's test-taking performance, and I might consider running my own study at Lake Oswego High School.
